New path underway
VISITORS to Tandarook Park in Cobden might have noticed some works happening.
Looks good: A new footpath is currently being constructed in Tandarook Park in Cobden.
Corangamite Shire acting manager facilities Jane Hinds said as part of this year’s council budget, a concrete footpath was currently under construction.
She said council’s concrete crew had been busy working on the 438-metre-long footpath.
“We have already poured approximately 130 metres of footpath and the remaining sections will be poured in the upcoming weeks weather permitting,” Ms Hinds said.
“The barbecue shelter extension has also been completed.”
The new path and barbecue shelter extension were identified through the Tandarook Park Masterplan process.
The public consultation as part of the plan revealed there was a lack of footpaths, lighting, all-abilities access and park furniture
