New playground complete at P-12
THERE were smiles all round at Timboon P-12 School last week when the new prep playground was officially opened.
THERE were smiles all round at Timboon P-12 School last week when the new prep playground was officially opened.
School principal Davin Reid said the new playground was officially opened last Tuesday.
“This new playground replaces a playground that was 25 plus years old and needed a significant upgrade,” he said.
“The new playground was a result of a significant contribution of $30,000 from Beach Energy, parent contributions andschool funds.”
Mr Reid said the new play space provides a designated area for Prep students to use.
“The students had three designs to choose from so they had a say in what their playground would look like into the future,” he said.
Beach Energy Otway production manager Kavin Galea said Beach Energy was “delighted to be able support the Timboon P-12 School community with funding for the prep playground and hope that it provides the opportunity for prep students to be active during their breaks at school”.
