New ramps installed
LISMORE’S Men’s Shed has become more accessible thanks to funding from the Berrybank Wind Farm for a special project.

LISMORE’S Men’s Shed has become more accessible thanks to funding from the Berrybank Wind Farm for a special project.
Works were recently completed on the construction of ramps, handrails and a shelter at the shed site.
The works will allow safe access to the whole site.
Three concrete ramps have been built, complete with handrails, the driveway to the new shed completed, and the rest of the area was levelled and concreted.
Drainage was installed to deal with the surface water and the runoff from the ramps.
Members of the men’s shed will also be offered some protection from the elements thanks to a new shelter between the two buildings.
Berrybank Wind Farm provided $16,157 to cover the costs of the works, including concreting and materials.
A spokesperson from Lismore Men’s Shed extended their thanks to the members who assisted with the installation.
“The project would not have been achieved without the grant from the Berrybank Wind Farm and the ongoing support of the Corangamite Shire,” they said.
“Thank you to both for making this project happen.
“Thank you to John Peters for his help and the effort he put in, making the plans drawn by us into the finished job we had hoped for.”
