New short course at Cobden
GOLFING enthusiasts who enjoy a shorter course can now take to a new course at the Cobden club.
Thanks to a wonderful bequest from Frank Hudgson, the new short course is in line with the club’s junior development programs and will be a huge benefit for the club.
The new short course will allow players to tee off from concrete-foundation, artificial grass tees; providing ideal conditions during winter.
The holes will range from 70 metres through to 148 metres.
A ‘grand opening’ is currently being planned and it is anticipated this will be held in the coming weeks.
The course is now ready for social rounds and will also be used, in rotation, for the existing chicken run competitions currently being held each Thursday night.
The course is ideal for corporate golf days and fundraising events, and perfect for beginners and families due to its shorter length.
