Nominations open
MEMBER for Polwarth Richard Riordan is calling on locals to help recognise someone special in the community, with nominations now open for the annual Polwarth Award.
The award celebrates the achievements, community contribution and spirit of an individual who goes above and beyond for others across the Polwarth electorate.
It is about saying thank you to someone who quietly makes a real difference – whether they’re a volunteer, community leader, carer, mentor or simply someone who’s always there when they’re needed.
Previous winners include Gwen Huggins, Ivan McCallum, Kathy Niblett-Graham and Zoe Hudgell.
The recipient of the 2026 Polwarth Award will be announced and presented with a special medal at the Annual Polwarth Lunch, to be held in Colac in mid-March.
Nominations close on March 6. Details on how to nominate are available at www.richardriordan.com.au
Mr Riordan encouraged anyone who knows a deserving local to put forward a nomination.
“Let’s shine a light on the people who make Polwarth such a great place to live,” he said.
