The home side won the toss and elected to bat, amassing 10/206 in the 80th over.

Best of the bowlers for the visitors were Hamish Hobbs who finished the innings with figures of 3/37 from 13 overs, Todd Robertson 3/39 from 10 overs and Jack Lehmann 2/14 from 12.

In reply, the Cats struggled against some strong bowling, reaching 10/75, with Corey Rounds contributing 23 the best of the batters.

Mortlake was sent in for a second innings and were 4/74 after 31 overs.

Mortlake’s Championship side spent plenty of time at the crease against Merrivale last weekend.

The Cats won the toss and elected to bat first on the Merrivale wicket.

The Tigers bowlers kept them on their toes, with the Cats restricted to 10/53 with Cooper Herry (11) one of just two Cats batsmen to reach double figures.

In reply the home side made 10/87 before the Cats went in to bat again – this time reaching 10/66 in the 46th over.

Bests of the bowlers for the Cats were Max Slater with 3/14 off five overs and Damien Goddard 3/32 off 16 overs.
