Norton wins at Timboon
TWENTY-six members played a stableford round at Timboon Golf Club last Saturday.
A grade was won by Geoff Norton with 37 points from Brett Worrall 33 and Darren Smith 32.
B grade was won by Fran Togni on a countback from Rhys Ziegelaar, both with 33 points.
Todd Brunt finished third on 29 points.
Nearest the pins: 5th Geoff Norton, 7th Todd Brunt, 10th Greg Beames and 14th Daren Smith.
Thursday’s 12-hole chicken day was won by Gordon Broderick with 29 points from Steve Plozza with 26.
Next Saturday will be stableford.
Timboon golfers enjoyed a two-person gentsomes event at the club last Wednesday.
Played over 14 holes, the event was won by Lynne Newton (16) and Steph Delaney (32) on 28 points.
The runners-up were Debbie Norton (18) and Alison Walsh (24) on 27 points.
Balls down the line went to Linda McKenzie and Judith Wallace, while Judith was also nearest the pin on the 5th hole.
