Norton wins Bill Neal Memorial
JAMIE Norton has won the Bill Neal Memorial Trophy at Timboon Golf Club.
Norton finished last weekend’s Nutrien Harcourts tournament with a nett score of 67 to win the trophy and A grade.
Hamish and Chris Huffadine finished second in A grade, both with a nett 74.
B grade was won by Mick Plozza with nett 74 from Gordon Broderick nett 75 and Gavin Rundle nett 76.
Nearest the pins: 5th Jamie Norton, 7th Bill Finlayson, 10th Gordon Broderick and 14th Gavin Rundle.
The Nutrien ball on the 11th was won by Wes Hollick while the Railway View Hotel chicken was won by Gavin Rundle from John Bertram.

This Saturday, October 12, will be the second round of the two-person 4BBB stableford.
Sunday will be the club fundraising barbecue market stall at Timboon – three or four helpers are required between 10am and 2pm.
This Sunday, October 13, will also be a working bee at the club from 10am to 12noon and eight to 10 volunteers are needed.
Lynne Newton (18) 32 points won the stableford event last Wednesday, October 2.
The runner-up on countback was Dawn Wallace (38) 32 points.
