November rain lower than average
NOVEMBER saw the region receiving lower than average rainfall for the month.
Camperdown recorded 34mm of rainfall in the month of November, which is lower than the long-term monthly average of 57.4mm.
The figure is also lower than last year’s total rainfall of November at 121mm.
Camperdown’s highest daily rainfall occurred over a period of three days, totaling 4mm on November 30.
The total rainfall in 2023 for Camperdown currently sits at 643.4mm.
Meanwhile, Lismore recorded 39.6mm of rainfall for November.
The figure falls below the long-term monthly average of 54.7mm, as well as last year’s total of 83.4mm.
The highest daily rainfall occurred on November 25, where 18.6mm hit the ground.
Currently, Lismore’s total rainfall for 2023 is 463.8mm.
Derrinallum, meanwhile, saw 45.8mm of rain hitting the ground in November.
The figure was slightly below the long-term November average of 55.7mm, and close to half of last year’s total of 97.6mm.
November 26 saw Derrinallum’s highest daily rainfall, with 20mm of rainfall recorded.
Derrinallum has experienced 488.6mm of rainfall in 2023 so far.
