Opening night reminder

RESIDENTS are being reminded the Camperdown Hospital Auxiliary’s annual art show will be opening tonight (Friday, September 5).

The opening of the annual A Spring Catalogue exhibition will honour the memory of founder David Bradshaw, who died earlier this year.

Camperdown Hospital Auxiliary vice president Matt Clark invited residents to stop by the St Paul’s Church Hall on Church Street at 6.30pm for the opening.

“The opening of the Camperdown Hospital Auxiliary’s 48th A Spring Catalogue will see the exhibition and sale of 50 works by nationally and internationally-recognised artists,” he said.

“All proceeds will go to the auxiliary’s ongoing support for our town’s hospital, mainly supporting the midwifery section and other projects highlighted by staff.

“This year, former long-term residents of the town – and also long-term supporters of the auxiliary – have donated to the auction some works they purchased years ago at our show.”

The works to be auctioned on opening night include Nevill Bunning’s ‘Sunset over Merimbula’ and Phillip Luton’s ‘Seascape’.

Entry for the opening night is $50 per person and includes drinks and canapes, with the exhibition also opening for $5 per person on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-3pm.

Tickets for opening night can be purchased at the door on the night.
