Orchid club presents honour
THE Cobden and District Orchid Club held its annual meeting earlier this month.
THE Cobden and District Orchid Club held its annual meeting earlier this month.
During the meeting past president Lindsay Rethus was awarded a Life Membership for all the years of dedicated service to the club.
The new office bearers for 2022 are:
President - Denise Robertson;
Vice president - Lindsay Rethus;
Secretary - John Whitewood; and
Treasurer - Graeme Gebert.
The executive committee consists of Neville Robertson, David Staggard and Rhonda Alexander.
After the lifting of COVID restrictions, members are looking forward to the Annual Spring Show, which is scheduled for October 15 and 16 at the Cobden Civic Hall.
Club memberships are now due, Single is $15, Double is $20 and Junior is $10.
Winner of this month’s popular vote was John Whitewood for his Disa Uniflora“Big Red”.
Thanks to all who donated to the raffle.
The next meeting will be held on Friday, September 10 from 7pm at the Cobden Civic Hall’s Heytesbury Room.
All are most welcome to attend.
