JOHN Palmer took the honours at last Wednesday’s vets’ day at the Mortlake golf course.

JOHN Palmer took the honours at last Wednesday’s vets’ day at the Mortlake golf course.

Finishing on nett 22, Palmer was just ahead of runner-up Steve Hubbard (9) nett 24.

Nearest the pins were Bruce Twaddle, Peter Palmer and John Palmer.

Friday’s vets’ day winner was Ben Boers(10) nett 43 from runner-up Ian Jubb (26) nett 45.

Nearest the pins: Peter Skene, Bruce Twaddle and Kevin Etherton.

NAGA: Steve Hubbard and Bruce Twaddle.

Last Friday’s nine-hole twilight event was won by Ben Boers 7-37-30 from Ian Jubb 14-50-36 on countback.

Nearest the pin was Kevin Etherton.

Last Saturday’s stroke event was won by David Uebergang 25-94-69 on countback from runner-up Bruce Twaddle 29-98-69.

Third was Garry Shalders 11-83-72.

Nearest the pins:6/15Steve Hubbard, 9/18 Will Berryman.

Balls down the line went to Bruce Twaddle, Garry Shalders and Dougal Ranken.
