Palmer wins eagles nest

SCOTT Palmer has won the eagles nest at Mortlake Golf Club.

Palmer finished the fifth hole with 57 balls on the weekend.

Saturday’s stroke monthly medal was won by Glen Birnie on 9-77-68 followed by Aaron Davis 25-94-69 with Les Dawson third on 14-84-70.

Nearest the pins: 3/12 Glen Birnie, 6/15 Jordan Wareham and 9/18 Aaron Davies.

Balls down the line went to Les Dawson, Jordan Wareham, Peter Palmer, Scott Palmer, Ben Boers and Jack Fowler.

Visitors – Sam Gervasoni and Kane Killen.

Last Friday’s nine hole twilight competition was won by Tony McLennan 18-48-30 on countback from runner-up Bruce Twaddle 14-44-30.

Nearest the pin on the 9th was Tony McLennan.

Next week will be stableford.
