SHROVE Tuesday was a success across Terang and Mortlake with thousands of pancakes being dished up.

Shrove Tuesday, affectionately known as Pancake Day, marks the traditional day of feast prior to the start of lent in the 40 days prior to Easter.
St Thomas’ Primary School returned with its traditional big breakfast for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began, with hundreds in attendance.
In Mortlake, Uniting Church member Heather Rowe said enough pancakes had been cooked to feed a small army.
“There has been a lot of people coming through, and plenty making a pick up as we couldn’t deliver this year,” she said.
“Everyone arrived on the dot at 10am and we’ve had a lot of people coming for lunch.
“It’s been a really good day.”
The money raised will go to the Share Appeal to support disadvantaged people.
