Panmure too strong for Power
WITH just two rounds remaining, Kolora Noorat’s senior footballers are hanging on to third spot on the Warrnambool District ladder despite a loss to Panmure last week.

WITH just two rounds remaining, Kolora Noorat’s senior footballers are hanging on to third spot on the Warrnambool District ladder despite a loss to Panmure last week.
The Power currently sits just percentage above fourth-placed Panmure and a game clear of Russells Creek who round up the top five.
Kolora Noorat found the going tough against the Bulldogs, who led from the first bounce and never looked back.
Declan Barbary, Samuel Kenna, Jacan Brooks, Benjamin Moloney, Joel Moloney and Jarrod Evans all worked hard and were named among the best for the Power.
Barbary kicked four for the visitors and was supported by goals from Lucas Boyd, Jacan Brooks, Nicholas Castersen, Joel Moloney and Sam Uwland.
Final scores were Panmure 17.8.110 to Kolora Noorat 9.15.69.
Kolora Noorat’s reserves also had a tough round, going down by 15 points, 5.10.40 to 8.7.55.
George Beasley and Dale Evans each contributed two goals, while Rhys Cottam-Starkey added one to the board.
Best for the side were Paul McSween, William Ryan, George Beasley, Joshua Freeman, Liam Geary and Trent Glennen.
The under 18s had a bye and currently sit second on the ladder, just percentage behind leaders Timboon and a game clear of South Rovers in third.
Kolora Noorat’s senior netballer sides struggled against Panmure, while the three junior teams all recorded wins.
Results were:
A grade- Panmure defeated Kolora Noorat 45-28.
A reserve – Panmure defeated Kolora Noorat 30-28.
B grade – Panmure defeated Kolora Noorat 41-22.
17 and under – Kolora Noorat defeated Panmure 43-41.
15 and under – Kolora Noorat defeated Panmure 37-25.
13 and under – Kolora Noorat defeated Panmure 19-14.
Kolora Noorat will host Nirranda for round 17 action this weekend before finishing the home and away season at Allansford.
