Pelicans and Bulls to contest final

POMBORNEIT and Bookaar will face off in this Sunday’s Colac District Cricket Association women’s grand final.

The two sides won their way through to the premiership match after winning their second round of finals last weekend.

Bookaar won the toss and elected to bat against Birregurra last Sunday, making 3/110 in their 20 overs.

In reply, Birregurra were contained to 2/92.

Best with the bat for the Pelicans were Sophie Walker (retired on 32) and Tracey Baker (33 retired) along with Audrey Ringe (2) and Pru Luker (7).

In the second final, Pomborneit Gold 4/125 defeated Apollo Bay 7/96.

Best with the bat for the Bulls were Jessica Moulden (30 retired) and Sam Coxon (unbeaten on 29).

The women’s grand final will start at 3pm Sunday at the Colac cricket ground.
