BOOKAAR’S two senior sides will play off in this weekend’s semi-final rounds of South West Cricket.

Division one, coming off a massive 214-run victory over Terang last weekend, will head into this Saturday’s semi-final against Pomborneit with added self-belief.

Finishing third on the ladder they will take on the second-placed Bulls at Terang Turf.

In-form opening batsman Simon Baker once again led the Pelicans from the front, contributing 82 runs to his side’s 8/314.

Baker was well supported at the crease by team-mates Tim Fitzgerald with 43, Paddy Baker 38 and Sam Allen 32.

Bookaar’s bowlers kept the Goats on a short leash, with strong contributions from Louis Darcy 3/25 off 10, Charlie Lucas 2/14 off five and Shaun Moloney 1/23 off 6.

Division three also had a great day out, defeating Camperdown by six wickets in their qualifying final.

The Pelicans finished the day on 4/174 while containing the Lakers to 5/170.

Opener Wil Cheeseman was unbeaten on 43 while Jayden Barker added 37 and Stephen Fitzgerald 32.

Cheeseman was also strong with the ball, finishing the day with figures of 2/25 off six while Josh O’Dowd took 1/23 off six.

The side will now take on Princetown in this weekend’s semi-final at Terang.
