Pennant season celebrated
CAMPERDOWN badminton players have celebrated their winter pennant with a special presentation event.
Pennant winners, Tooliorook: Craig Podger, Jessica Cotton, Kylea Dickson, Anderson Vallejo, Craig McFarlane and Adiba Masnun.
This season’s pennant was won by Tooliorook, who defeated Elingamite 12 sets/316 points to four sets/285 points.
First runners-up, Elingamite: April McArthur, Charmaine Uy, Georgia Capizzi, Orson Capizzi, Barney Dickson and Carolyn Weller. Absent: Daniel Boyle.
Congratulations to the aggregate winners:
Ladies – Stacey Shalders 1077 points, runner-up Carolyn Weller 1031 points.
Men – Chris Kane 1036 points, runner-up Daniel Boyle 979 points.
Juniors – Aidan Vallejo 375 points, first runner-up Orson Capizzi 358 points, second runner-up Lenny Dubbins 286 points.
The most improved junior award went to Saxon Pearce.
Lifelong members of the association, Lyn McLean and Doreen Horan.
