The Camperdown course proved a picturesque backdrop for competitors, with course designers and builders commended on constructing ‘amazing jumps’ which challenged riders in the cross-country event.

The ground jury included Mrs Sumiko Suzuki from Japan along with three Australian judges.

Last Thursday saw riders from Western Australia, South Australia (including one resident who originated from Belgium), Tasmania, New South Wales and Victoria arrive for identification and horse inspection.

Friday’s weather was extremely warm and the dressage was hotly contested in all classes, from EvA80cm through to CCI3*Long.

On Saturday the weather gods provided rain for most of the day, but the temperature was just right for the horses on cross-county.

Sunday saw the final horse inspection before the start of the show jumping, which was held in pleasant weather conditions.

Many horses entered were Off the Track (OTT) - former racehorses given a new goal in life.

Off The Track is sponsored by the Victorian Racing Club to rehome and train ex racehorses after their racing life.

Class winners included:

EvA80A - Alexah Robinson riding Isle of New Norfolk.
