The school held a Pirate Day last week, with students decked out in pirate hats, bandannas and eyepatches.

Junior School Council (JSC) coordinator Rohan Adams said the JSC organised a number of games such as pin the eyepatch on the pirate, a walk the plank competition and even a treasure hunt.

“Prizes were awarded to the best-dressed pirates and students and staff enjoyed party pies, rum balls and fruit boxes,” he said.

“The fundraiser was not only about fun – we also came together to raise money for brain cancer research and to remember past student Lachie Stephenson.

“The junior campus raised over $1300, which will be donated to the rockstar researchers at the Brain Cancer Centre.

“The Brain Cancer Centre works to drive the research that will improve brain cancer treatment and options for patients in the future.

“Their vision is that one day, no lives will be lost to brain cancer.”
