Plate final round at Timboon
TIMBOON Golf Club members contested the final round of the Timboon Motors Plate last weekend.
A grade last Saturday was won by Steven Crees on a countback from Chris Huffadine, with both players on 37 points.
Third place went to Steve Plozza with 36 points.
B grade was won by Nigel Harding from Colac on 41 points, from Rohan Johns on 38.
Third place went to M. Horwood from Nudgee on 37.
Nearest the pins: 5th Chris Huffading, 10th and 14th Barry Cook.
Peter Cashmore won a ball for his second shot to the 11th while Nigle Harding won a ball for his second to the 13th.
Congratulations also to Chris Huffadine who shot an eagle on the third hole.
Timboon Motors Plate final results:
First - Neil Gowland (2) 42 and 36 for a total of 78 points.
Second - Steve Plozza (12) 41 and 36 for a total 77 points.
Third - Andrew Gant (27) 41 and 36 for a total 77 points.
Thursday’s 12-hole Kazza’s Railway View Chicken Day was won by Howard Meek with 29 points from Peter Delaney on 27.
Nearest the pin was Peter Plozza.
Next Saturday will be stroke for the monthly medals.
Last Wednesday’s 4BBB was won by Sophie Bowker (24) and Judy Delaney (20) on 46 points from runners-up June Ayres (30) and Maureen Clements (18) 45 points.
Balls down the line went to Lynne Newton (13) and Linda McKenzie (20) 44 points.
Nearest the pins: 10th Nelle Cashore, 13th Alison Walsh.
