Plenty to see and do for all ages
THE Hamilton Showgrounds will be bustling with excitement next month as visitors of all ages enjoy everything Sheepvention 2026 has on offer.

And for the young ones who walk through the gates, organisers have ensured there is something to keep them amused for hours.
While some of the children’s activities have been “scaled back slightly” compared with previous years, organisers are confident there is still plenty on offer.
This includes face painting and animal balloons, along with a very special workshop where youngsters can build their own wooden toys, animals or even a tractor to take home.
Event organisers are also hoping to have a mini circus area where children can have fun learning some circus skills.
Parents are encouraged to take their children along to the on-site office on Sunday to collect a bucket and passport before heading off for a very special challenge.
The passport will feature a list of trade sites that need to be found – and, once found, simply tick the site off the list and you may be lucky to receive something special from the site holder to carry in your bucket.
