Plozza and Bertram win medals

KEVIN Plozza showed good form on the greens last weekend to take out Saturday’s stroke round for the monthly medals at Timboon Golf Club.

Plozza (9) 77 nett 68 finished ahead of runner-up Steven Crees (10) 79 nett 69, with Rodney Edge (10) 80 nett 70 in third, followed by Jack Rowe (11) 81 nett 71.

The B grade monthly medal winner was John Bertram (18) 84 nett 66, followed by Peter Delaney (40) 110 nett 70, Gordon Broderick (18) 90 nett 72 and Bryan Ward (24) 97 nett 73.

Nearest the pins: 5th Steven Crees, 7th Jack Rowe, 10th Wes Hollick and 14th Maureen Clements.

Matt Walker won a ball for his second shot to the 11th.

Thursday’s Railway View Chicken day was won by Matt Walker with 26 points on countback from Steve Kerr.

Nearest the pin was Darryl Neale.

This Saturday will be the Timboon Earthmoving Summer Cup (stableford).
