Polwarth Award this Sunday
THE excitement is building as the announcement of the Polwarth Award winner for 2025 draws ever closer.
Final preparations are underway for the Annual Polwarth Lunch to be held this Sunday.
More than 120 guests including business leaders, volunteers and Polwarth supporters will gather in Colac to celebrate all things Polwarth.
Member for Polwarth Richard Riordan said the highlight of the day was expected to be the announcement and presentation of the Polwarth Award.
“It is so important to take the time away from busy schedules to reflect on the dedication and passion of the people of Polwarth,” he said.
“I’m proud to acknowledge our dedicated volunteers, good samaritans and the unsung heroes of our region.
“An incredible cohort of nominees, all deserving in their own right, will gather to find out if it’s their year.”
Local nominee Justin Keane has been praised for his commitment to local and state scouting endeavours, as a mentor and interstate bus driver.
Previous winners include Dean Walton, Zoe Hudgell and Kathy Niblett Graham – who has been re-nominated this year.
Featuring at the event will be special guest, newly appointed State Opposition Leader, Brad Battin MP, who will be a keynote speaker for the luncheon.
