MORE than 15 people attended two sessions about the integrated art component of the Port Campbell Town Centre project with Vicki Couzens recently.
Dr Couzens said the sessions were about updating people on the progress of the design development and showing some possibilities and the work in progress.
“It was a really great opportunity for me to gain more insight into local knowledge,” she said.
“This will inform the design development and how it will actually work on the ground so residents and visitors engage with it in a meaningful way.”
“For instance, one of the design ideas is tiles in the street depicting local stories, with more audio content and transcripts to go online, essentially building a resource, a local story archive.”
“Local residents really have that knowledge of where they think these designs will work best, and what themes and elements are appropriate.”
Dr Couzens thanked residents for sharing stories and providing feedback on ideas.
“I have a number of new connections with people who want to be involved,” she said.
