A NAIL-biting five-point win over Russells Creek has earnt Kolora Noorat’s senior footballers a spot in this weekend’s Warrnambool District semi-final.

The Power took an early lead over Russells Creek, kicking five goals two to three goals two in the opening term and then piled on a further three majors in the second to go into the main break with a handy 26-point lead.

A relatively quiet third term from the Power saw them contained to just two behinds while Russells Creek added two goals five to the board to get within 11 points at three-quarter time.

The final term saw Russells Creek add four majors to the board while the Power were held to three.

Final scores were Kolora Noorat 11.10.76 to Russells Creek 10.11.71.

Best for the Power were Ryan O’Connor, Nick Marshall, Benjamin Moloney, Declan Barbary, Joel Moloney and Sam Uwland.

Lucas Boyd kicked three for the day while Nick Marshall added two and Declan Barbary, Nicholas Castersen, Joel Dillon, Samuel Kenna, Ed Lee and Luke Tebble contributed a goal each.

The Power will now face Panmure in this Sunday’s first semi-final at Allansford.

Last Sunday’s elimination final at Davidson Oval saw the Power’s 15 and under side defeated by South Rovers, 19-26 and A grade defeated by Timboon 48-49.
