DESPITE a slow start at Timboon last weekend, Kolora Noorat worked hard to turn an early 16-point deficit into a 40-point victory.

The opening quarter wasn’t one of the Power’s best for the season, kicking just one goal two for the term while allowing the Demons to get four majors on the board.

However, the side was quick to regroup in the second and stepped it up a notch, kicking four majors to go into the main break with a handy 10-point lead.

The second half saw the visitors add another five majors, with four of those in the third term, while the Demons were restricted to just one goal in the third before being held scoreless in the last.

Final scores were Kolora Noorat 10.10.70 to Timboon 5.0.30.

Sam Uwland, Tom McKenzie, Lucas Boyd, Declan Barbary, Nick Marshall and Jarrod Evans were named in the best for Power.

Goal kickers were Lucas Boyd (4), Declan Barbary (3), Nicholas Castersen, Ted Kenna and Ed Lee.

The Power’s reserves notched up win number five for the season, defeating Timboon 9.10.64 to 2.2.14.

The side led from the opening quarter, kicking 3.5 in the first before extending its lead as the game progressed.

Tyler Beasley kicked three and was named best, along with Sam Darcy, Thomas Darcy, George Beasley, Paul McSween and Jack Darcy.

Other goal kickers were Dale Evans (2), George Beasley, Sam Darcy, Thomas Darcy and Sam Hutchinson.

Kolora Noorat’s under 18s added another win to the board, and now sit on top of the ladder, a game clear of the Demons in second.

Final scores last Saturday were Kolora Noorat 4.4.28 to the Demons 1.4.10.

Ted Kenna kicked two for the Power while Jack Pekin and Darcy Vick contributed one apiece.

Listed among the best players were Jackson Gill, Caleb Kavenagh, Ben Carlin, Vick, Fred Beasley and Jacan Brooks.

Kolora Noorat’s A grade side put on a strong performance against Timboon, winning 47-43 and now sits in third place with 10 wins on the board.

A reserve defeated Timboon 44-37 while B grade also enjoyed a win, 36-27.

In the junior games last weekend, the Power defeated Timboon in the 17 and unders 39-26, while the 15s won 31-20 and the 13s won 19-11.
