The team was victorious in its division two grand final in Warrnambool last Saturday – its first grand final victory in weekend pennant for 15 years.

Terang Blue 61 defeated Warrnambool Red 50.

Graeme Downie, Ron Mills, Ros Ross and Pat O'Connor def Gary Johnson 22-17.

Denis Delaney, Trevor Rees, Justin Staunton and Jamie Heffernan lost to Troy King 18-22.

Dan Morrison, Barry Stonehouse, Jack Fowler and Andrew Taylor def Roger Hill 21-11.

While Dan’s and Graeme’s teams were consistent, maintaining their early leads, a great fightback from Denis’ team after being down 1-15 was instrumental in the win.

Terang Red also had an excellent season in making the grand final, in which they were defeated by 20 points by City Green.

Noel Uebergang’s team had a good day but City was too strong on the other rinks.

Terang Red 38 lost to City Green 58.

Noel Uebergang, John Gherashe, Terry Heffernan and Glenn Newton def Richard Chapman 17-12.

Patrick Reid, Jim Whitehead, Darren Henriksen and Dawn Hilton lost to Gerard Monro 12-20.

Peter Templeton, Jean Fidge, Greg Wynd and Brian Kenna lost to Pauline Burleigh 9-26.

Terang’s greens are in the process of being replaced. Members are looking forward to playing the next pennant on brand new greens.
