CARS, live music and raffles will be on offer at the annual Prison Break Weekend held at Camp Cooriemungle in January after the grounds have had a chance to dry out.
Local group, the Guzzlers Car Club, are again hosting the family friendly event.
Club president Anthony ‘Claude’ Love said significant rainfall in October had forced the change to January, but the change in date was looking positive for the club.
“We’ve had good interest so far,” he said.
“A lot of people seem to think the change of date suits them better.
“We’ve had a couple of vendors book in also.”
Mr Love said he was looking forward to the popular event.
“We’re calling for people to keep the day free,” he said.
“We’re excited to be back again after COVID.”
Mr Love said the Show and Shine would have an expanded format.
“It’s a show us your toys day – if it’s got a motor in it, we want to see it,” he said.
“We’ve got two bands this year – The Gin Divers and Eddy and The Exciters.
“Eddy and The Exciters will be kicking off at 12noon and The Gin Divers come on at 2pm.
“I think it should be a good day.”
Mr Love said there would be some kids activities there as well as food vendors to keep attendees fed and happy.
“The big auction will be on between 2pm and 3pm,” he said.
“Proceeds will go to Foodshare.”
Tickets for the Prison Break Weekend are $5 per person or $15 per family.
A small amount of on-site accommodation is available as well as camping at Camp Cooriemungle.
