Privilege pot at Cobden
THIRTY-five players took to the course at Cobden Golf Club last Saturday.
A privilege pot and Rix m/play qualifying round was contested.
R. Barlow took out A grade on 44 points, followed by S. Healey on 40 points.
The B grade winner was M. Drayton on 42, followed by G. Davis on 41.
Nearest the pin on the fourth went to S. Healey, while R. Barlow was closest on the seventh, C. Sargeant on the 10th and G. Davis was closest second on the second with S. Rix closest second on the 14th.
R. Barlow won the privilege pot.
Balls down the line went to K. Duffin, D. Buckle, D. Bath, T. Healey, J. Mason, J. Walker and B. McSween.
Semi-finals m/play results were as follows:
B grade: C. Sargeant def C. Horan one up; C grade: A. Holster def B. Bolurke 3/2 and D grade: K. Duffin def B. Smith 5/4.
Next week will be P. and B. Austin Mixed Pinehurst (men without partners for this event will be paired up and also play).
Thirty-four players took to the course on Saturday, January 6 for the monthly medal, putting and round one of the Summer Cup.
Finishing on a score of 70 net, A. Giles took out A grade from D. Buckle on 71.
B grade went to A. Stevens on 70 from J. Rix 71.
Balls down the line: D. Beard, G. Davis, D. Bath, J. Stevens, R. Barlow, S. Rix and B. McSween.
In the championship B grade, D. Stewart defeated B. Absalom on the 19th hole.
Nearest the pin on the fourth was A. Giles, 7th D. Stewart, 10th D. Bath, closest second on the second was B. Bourke while S. Rix was closest second on the 14th.
The monthly medal went to A. Stevens while S. Dawson took out the putting with 27.
