Probus celebrates growth to start the new year
THE Terang Probus Club are back in full swing for the year, and have expanded their outings to unite members from clubs across the region.

The club held its first monthly meeting for the year at the beginning of February, and last week held its first Birthday Group for the year at the Little Acorn.
“The Birthday Group happens every month, usually the second Monday of the month,” club president Anne Gready said.
“Everyone who has had a birthday the previous month, or the month starting, gets together for a cup of coffee and a chat to celebrate.
“We’ve got a lot of members in the club who are coming back, or have also welcomed four new members.
“We’re very happy because so many clubs are struggling with numbers.
“It was a big first week back as we welcomed those who had their birthday in December, January and February – so it was quite a big group.”
Mrs Gready said it was pleasing to see growth within the club.
In addition, the Terang Probus Club have also combined their adventures with the Cobden, Timboon and Camperdown clubs.
This week the clubs travelled to Drake’s Fresh Produce in Boorcan and Jean Moloney’s vineyard in Dixie.
Mrs Gready said it was the perfect time for anyone wanting to make new friends to join, and extended an open invitation.
“Anyone who would like to join Probus are invited to attend a meeting on the first Monday of the month from 10am at the Terang Civic Hall,” she said.
“If you don’t know anyone, just come along.
“It’s a great way to meet new people.
“I’ve only been here three years and the first thing my husband and I did when we moved to Terang was to join Probus.
“If you’re keen to meet people, you’re more than welcome to come along.”
