Tis the season: Members of the Terang and District Probus Club enjoyed a celebratory Christmas lunch on Monday, capping off what has been a successful year for the club.

Members from across the region gathered for a Christmas lunch at the Middle Hotel in Terang on Monday, celebrating what has been a busy year for the club.

Club president Anne Gready said there had been many reasons to celebrate throughout 2024.

“It’s been a fantastic year,” she said.

“Our attendance is up, and we’ve got new members joining or re-joining.

“We’ve had a good, fun year with a lot on.

“We had our 20th anniversary in May and a Friendship Day (Probus members from Terang, Camperdown, Cobden and Timboon joining for the day) which proved very popular.

“Everything has been going really well.”

Mrs Gready said the Terang and District Probus Club was eager to return in 2025 for a bigger and better year, and encouraged anyone interested in building their social connections to consider joining.

“Anyone interested in joining is more than welcome,” she said.

“You can come along and sit in on a meeting and find out what we’re all about.

“Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at 10am at the Civic Hall in Terang.”

Mrs Gready wished all Probus members a Merry Christmas and happy new year.

“Be safe, be happy and don’t get in to trouble,” she said.
