Probus Notes Terang
THERE was a good attendance of members at the Terang and District Probus Club’s first meeting of the year – despite the hot weather.

The club has organised a full day trip to Werribee Zoo in April as well as short trips to Drake Produce at Boorcan and Jean Moloney’s vineyard at Noorat.
There is also an event for the Birthday Group at the Little Acorn.
Guest speaker was Delyce England who returned to Camperdown with her husband nine years ago.
She has interest currently in art, but formerly was into car racing and belly dancing.
As members of the Porsche Car Club she and her husband competed in sprints, hill climbs and rallies.
They both worked as event organisers later.
Delyce then embarked on a career as a belly dancer.
She had been introduced to belly dance as a teenager by Middle Eastern friends of her parents.
Delyce taught on the Bellarine Peninsula and in Geelong with up to 150 members – often mothers and daughters.
Since moving to Camperdown she has renewed her interest in art.
Marg Connellan thanked Delyce and presented a gift.
The club has several prospective members and new members are welcome.
Next meeting is on Monday, March 3 at 10am at the Terang Civic Hall Rose Room.
