Rae returns as newest ceo
COUNCILLORS voted unanimously to appoint David Rae as Corangamite Shire Council’s new chief executive officer (CEO) at this week's Special Council Meeting

COUNCILLORS voted unanimously to appoint David Rae as Corangamite Shire Council’s new chief executive officer (CEO) at this week's Special Council Meeting.
Mr Rae will start on Monday, May 29 with Michael Tudball continuing as interim CEO until late May.
Council appointed Mr Tudball as interim CEO in January following Andrew Mason’s resignation to take up the chief executive role at Warrnambool City Council.
Mayor Ruth Gstrein said Mr Rae’s appointment followed an extensive recruitment process.
“David is no stranger to Corangamite Shire as our former director corporate and community services,” she said.
“He returns as CEO after 12 months as director community and corporate services at Moyne Shire Council.”
Mr Rae said he was looking forward to taking on the lead role at his former workplace.
“I very much look forward to returning to Corangamite Shire to my former councillors and colleagues as their CEO.
“I also want to thank Moyne Shire for the opportunity to grow and learn over the past year.”
Mayor Gstrein said council looked forward to Mr Rae continuing the shire on its trajectory to grow and prosper.
“We look forward to welcoming David back and continuing the good work to benefit our communities,” she said.
