Twenty-four millimetres of rain was recorded in April over Cobden, compared to 20.4mm in March, with most of the rainfall being recorded in the last few days of the month.

While still well below the long-term average in April of 66.1mm, the rainfall last month improved upon January and February’s totals of 15.2mm and 16.6mm respectively.

The highest daily rainfall total of 5mm was recorded on April 17, and many days of scattered showers followed.

This time last year recorded heavier rainfall, with 71mm of rainfall tallied in April 2024.

With every month in the year to date falling well below the long-term average of recorded rainfall, the much-needed rain the region is waiting for is still not quite here yet.
