LISMORE and district locals attended a support afternoon recently.

Lismore Community Health’s Jenny Hirth said the aim of the afternoon tea was to provide support and information for people who have been touched by breast cancer.

“A community member initiated the idea after her recent episode of breast cancer,” she said.

“Nine ladies attended and the session was informative, educational, supportive, and gave women the opportunity to ask questions or share their experiences.

“A special afternoon tea with time to share and support others.”

Breast Care Nurse Rebecca Hay and Camperdown’s Carole Manifold spoke at the afternoon tea.
