The free Moyne Sessions Pop-Up Recording Studio and Songwriting Workshops program will work with young artists aged 25 years and under in the recording, production and promotion of their original music.

Each Pop-Up artist will receive professionally produced track(s), a video clip of one song, as well as a songwriting intensive and song-polishing workshop. Artists recording their original music will additionally receive written feedback from Universal Music Group Australia

Participants will be mentored by acclaimed songwriter and producer Cameron Deyell, best known for working with Sia on her Grammy-nominated platinum-selling album This is Acting.

Mayor Ian Smith said the program is a great opportunity for seasoned musicians or those just starting out.

“Cameron brings his experience and expertise to teaching the fundamentals of writing songs that connect, and polishing songs to be ready for recording,” he said.

“If you have songs that are ready to go, this program is for you.”

The sessions run between January 22-28, 2024. Applications close on Monday, January 8, 2024.

Details and application forms can be found at www.moyne.vic.gov.au/Pop-Up.

The Moyne Sessions Pop-Up Recording program is funded through the Victorian Government FReeZA program.
