Records break at swim carnival
RECORDS were broken and some strong times recorded at last week’s Cobden Technical School swim carnival.

The swimming carnival, held at the Cobden pool last Tuesday, was enjoyed by a large number of students and supporters, flanked by sunshine and warm weather.
On 267 points, Glenfyne Gold once again won the day, followed by Shenfield Blue on 181 and Tandarook Red 153.
Among the day’s highlights was Tabitha Perris’ performance in the under 18/20 100m freestyle event.
She swam the distance in a time of 1.29.21 smashing the old record by .05 seconds.
Tabitha now holds the 100m freestyle record in the under 15, under 16 and under 18/20 girls’ divisions.
Broly Henderson also had a great day in the pool, swimming the under 16 boys’ freestyle in an impressive time of 19.88, breaking a record that had been held since 2013.
Congratulations also to the age group champions for 2025:
Under 13 – Katie Hansford (Glenfyne) and Ryan Bailey (Glenfyne).
Under 14 – Stephanie Suter (Shenfield) and Harry Roberts (Glenfyne).
Under 15 – Charli Robbins (Shenfield) and Lucas Smith (Shenfield).
Under 16 – Olivia Benson (Glenfyne) and Broly Henderson (Glenfyne).
Under 17 – Ryan Furney (Glenfyne).
