Renovations continue at the Commercial
RESIDENTS may have been scratching their heads when they spotted a crane at the back of the Commercial Hotel yesterday (Thursday, September 4).
Strange sight: A crane was spotted behind the Commercial Hotel yesterday as works continue on the building.
Venue manager Donna Conheady said the crane was a part of ongoing works to renovate the bistro area.
“We just had fitted the industrial air conditioning units for the hotel,” she said.
“It’s been great.
“We’ve been very lucky the owners are investing in the town, investing in the venue, and wanting to provide a nice dining space for locals to come and enjoy.
“It’s very exciting.
“We hope to open our brand-new bistro in around six weeks’ time.”
The crane remained onsite all day for the installation of the air conditioners.
