The Magpies travelled to Gardens Oval on Saturday for a bottom-of-the-table clash with the Seagulls.
The round eight match proved a fruitful one for the Magpies, with a reward for effort three-point win.
Final scores were Camperdown 6.3.39 to Port Fairy 4.12.36.
Devon Coates, Stephen Walters, Hugh Gordon, Jeremy Lucas and Dale McDowell were named best for the Magpies while goal kickers were Walters (3), Tim Fitzgerald (2) and Andrew Anderson.
Camperdown’s seniors are holding on to third spot on the Hampden League ladder, just percentage above North Warrnambool, despite a 63-point loss to the eighth-placed Seagulls on Saturday.
The Magpies handed the Seagulls their second win of the season, with the final scores at 5.7.37 to 15.10.100.
Camperdown’s Jason Baird, Angus Gordon, Sam Gordon, Joshua Place and Zach Sinnott each contributed a goal while among the best were Archie McBean, Shane Morgan, Harry Sumner, William Rowbottom and Charlie Lucas.
In the under 18.5s, Port Fairy defeated Camperdown by 14 points, 7.3.45 to 5.1.31.
Brock Stephens, Wilba Cheeseman, Luke Kavenagh, Myles Sinnott, Tarkyn Love and Isaac Winsall were named in the best for the magpies while Nathan Ellemor contributed two goals and Daniel
Ryan, Lennox Tregea-Copeland and Cheeseman each contributed one.
Camperdown’s netballers found the round a tough one last Saturday, with results as follows:
Open – Port Fairy defeated Camperdown 49-33.
Division one – Port Fairy defeated Camperdown 51-22.
Division two – Port Fairy defeated Camperdown 44-16.
Division three – Port Fairy defeated Camperdown 41-11.
17 and under – Port Fairy defeated Camperdown 26-10. Best for the Magpies: Jessica Ladhams, Grace Roberts and Remy Gaut.
15 and under – Camperdown defeated Port Fairy 26-13.
13 and under – Camperdown drew with Port Fairy 18-18.
