Delivered through the Warrnambool Coastcare Landcare Network, the course provides 10 subsidised places for farming businesses in the region.

The five-day program will run between August and November 2026 and includes both expert-led sessions and hands-on learning.

The course will explore soil health, biology and carbon, grazing management, pasture systems and fertiliser use, along with approaches to monitoring and understanding farm system changes over time.

Project lead Kristy Stewart said the program focuses on practical, locally relevant knowledge.

“Participants will be supported to better understand their farm systems and develop a farm action plan based on testing and analysis undertaken during the course,” she said.

Each farm will receive soil, microbiology and plant tissue testing.

Sessions will be held on local farms and at venues across the district, with opportunities for participants to connect and learn from one another.

A peer learning group will continue after the course to support ongoing knowledge sharing.

The course is valued at approximately $5,000 and is subsidised, with a $300 contribution required.

Applications close on Sunday, June 14.
