Retaining wall gets an upgrade
CORANGAMITE Shire contractors have began work on installing a new retaining wall near the Cobden Civic Hall.

CORANGAMITE Shire contractors have began work on installing a new retaining wall near the Cobden Civic Hall.
Shire infrastructure projects officer Dean Finlayson said the garden bed retaining wall was being rebuilt.
“The retaining wall was in poor condition and had commenced rotation under the retained weight,” he said.
“Following a structural engineers assessment and recommendations, plans were provided to rebuild the wall with reinforcement and drainage.”
Mr Finlayson said the project was expected to cost $18,000 and take about two weeks to complete.
