The club is a member of the Horse Riding Clubs Association of Victoria and has been an active club for over 25 years.

Members come from all over the district, with riders from Mortlake, Timboon, Warrnambool, Camperdown and surrounds.

Riders are well supported by dressage instructors who provide lessons on show jumping, trail rides and cross-country events.

Having recently shown interested in three-phase equitation, riders were then offered lessons in this new equine discipline.

Conversations with the Colac Riding Club also led to joining together for a weekend 3PE competition.

The competition drew competitors from as far afield as Gembrook, Mt Gambier and Westernport.

After a successful weekend of friendly competition and camping, the group is already looking forward to a return visit next year.

Three-phase equitation involves riders undertaking a dressage test, tackling an obstacle course and then using the same obstacles to compete at speed.
