Road blitz announced
RESURFACING works on the Lavers Hill-Cobden Road were announced last week as part of a road maintenance blitz.
Other road works in the district include a 3.5 kilometre section of the Terang-Mortlake Road, McKinnons Bridge-Noorat Road, Darlington Road and the Princes Highway West.
Minister for Roads and Road Safety Melissa Horne made the announcement last Tuesday.
“We’re delivering work across every corner of the state, making sure that that the roads Victorian drivers use every day are smoother and stronger,” she said.
“We’ll be rebuilding, repairing and resurfacing more than 160 major roads and freeways right across the state as part of this upcoming maintenance program.”
Member for Western Victoria Jacinta Ermacora welcomed the road announcement.
“These works are all about supporting the ongoing economic viability of the region’s industries, as well as supporting the state-wide freight industry,” she said.
