Roadworkers busy over January
WORKS have been completed on roads across the district as part of the State Government’s $976 million investment into roads, including the Hamilton Highway.
A Department of Transport and Planning spokesperson said works have ramped up on the 3.6-kilometre section following a pause over the Christmas period and are expected to be completed by the end of March.
“We’re investing in maintaining our regional roads across the state, including delivering upgrades on the Hamilton Highway at Darlington,” the spokesperson said.
“The $976 million Better Roads Blitz will fix potholes and upgrade road surfaces right across Victoria – with 70 per cent directed to regional roads.

“These works will ensure we can continue to maintain this key freight and farming route and get locals where they need to go.”
The works on the Hamilton Highway between the Darlington-Terang Road and Darlington-Camperdown Road are currently underway, with traffic control in place as the road is rebuilt.
Works have also been recently completed on the Darlington-Camperdown Road between Blind Creek Road and Meningoort Road as well as on the Mount Emu Creek bridge in Darlington.
