Tonight (Friday) will see night one action of the 2025 RSA National Rodeo Finals.

This year’s event will feature the top 10 competitors from across four states in open bull ride, second division bull ride, junior bull ride, open saddle bronc, open bare back, ladies’ barrel race and junior barrel race.

The open bull ride once again looks set to be the main attraction of the night, with teenager Billy Bowker currently leading the standings.

Bowker, in his first year out of the juniors, currently sits at number one and will no doubt be keen to entertain the crowd and take home the title this weekend.

Also keen to take the title will be defending RSA champion Riley Eade of Swan Hill, who currently sits third.

Another rider to watch on the weekend will be the current leader of the junior bull riding division, Colac’s Noah Dingle.

Dingle, who will fly back from Queensland for this weekend’s event, shows skill and endurance beyond his years and will no doubt be a crowd pleaser.

And when the action ends in the ring, it will hot up on the entertainment stage with local musician Michael Ferguson set to entertain crowds.

For the younger rodeo visitors, there will be free kids’ activities and face painting – along with loads of crowd giveaways.

Gates will open this afternoon (Friday) at 3.30pm, with food and entertainment from 4.30pm and action in the ring from 5.30pm.

Tomorrow (Saturday) gates will open at 2pm, with food and entertainment from 3pm and action from 4pm.

On-site camping will be available at the showgrounds for just $5 per person and admission tickets can be purchased at the gate (or online at humanitix.com).
