Round two pennant action

THIS week Heytesbury is in full swing and rolling into a new week of indoor bowls action.

In division one, round two action, Scotts Creek 1 and Laang-Ecklin lost their home matches to Timboon Lawn 1 and 2 respectively.

Glenormiston 1 narrowly went down to Mepunga 1 at home and in the battle of the Camperdowns, it was Camperdown 2 defeating Camperdown 1.

Camperdown 2 remains on top of the table, with Timboon Lawn 1 second, Mepunga 1 third and rounding out the four is Camperdown 1.

In division 2, Cobden 1 narrowly defeated Simpson 1 at home and Glenormiston 2 narrowly defeated Mepunga 2 (also at home).

Timboon Lawn 3 took care of Cobden 2 at home and Timboon Lawn 4 just got over the line against Glenormiston 3 at home.

Timboon Lawn 4 tops the ladder, with Timboon Lawn 3 second, Mepunga 2 third and Glenormiston 2 in fourth place.

Rounding out the pennant coverage, Division 3 saw Scotts Creek 3 have the bye.

Cobden 3 narrowly defeated Camperdown 3 at home, Mepunga 3 defeated Glenormiston 4 and Scotts Creek 2 defeated Peterborough.

Scotts Creek 2 head the table, with Mepunga 3 in second, Scotts Creek 3 in third and rounding out the four is Glenormiston 4.

Just a few reminders regarding pennant:

If jack gets taken off the mat, the end must be replayed from the same end and not taken to the opposite end.

Please help your pennant secretary by sending clear, legible pictures of completed, matching, full player names and signed pennant scorecards to pennant secretary Kathryn on 0409 013 720.

Current list of reminders this week:

Entries for the VIBBA pairs, fours, singles and junior singles, and the Ballarat Inter Group Championships all closed on Tuesday, May 7.

VIBBA pairs will be held on Saturday, May 25 at Warrnambool Stadium (Heytesbury duty).

Please arrive at the stadium earlier to help setup and pack down for the day.

VIBBA Fours on Sunday, May 26 will be at Warrnambool stadium - 8.45am rollup for 9am start.

VIBBA singles (up to semi-finals) will be on Sunday, June 2 at Sunshine - 8.45am rollup for 9am start.
