Rural women connect, share and create
RURAL women across the region had the opportunity to connect, create and invest in their own wellbeing recently.

The second ‘Creative Pause’ gathering at Meadowbrooke Flower Farm early last month provided participants with a beautiful reminder of why creating space for rural women to pause, connect and simply “be together” matters.
“We welcomed a wonderful group of local women to Meadowbrooke for a relaxed day of conversation, creativity and connection,” organiser Brooke Stewart said.
“It was lovely to have rural naturopath Hayley Dawson with us to share practical, achievable ways to support our wellbeing among the realities of farm and family life.”
Throughout the day there was plenty of conversation, plenty of laughter and plenty of flowers.
More importantly, there was time to slow down and connect with women who understand the unique rhythm of rural life.
A third Creative Pause day was held on Sunday, September 27.
Perinatal psychologist Jen O’Meara joined the group and encouraged participants to explore wellbeing, motherhood and the challenges of caring for ourselves while caring for everyone else.
Creative Pause is a Look Over The Farm Gate event, funded by the National Centre for Farmers Health.
The initiative was created by Meadowbrooke Flower Farm to provide rural women with opportunities to connect, learn, create and invest in their own wellbeing.
