A new moveable speed check display sign which also has the ability to display changeable messages was installed on Friday.
Corangamite Shire manager assets planning John Kelly said the new sign was a result of a partnership between Roadsafe Otways, Corangamite Shire and Colac Otway Shire.
“We applied for funding from the TAC and we were able to secure funding,” he said.
“It was fully funded.”
Mr Kelly said Roadsafe Otways Cliff McAliece and his team would be moving the sign between the two shires where it was needed.
“We’re going to target the entries into towns,” he said.
“With the other two older models we get a good response from the local police and the local community.”
