Saputo steps up for suppliers
SAPUTO Dairy Australia (SDA) gave suppliers a reason to smile with the announcement of a step up in its minimum milk price.
In late December SDA advised its suppliers of a step up in minimum milk price of $0.15 per kgMS for the 2024/25 season.
This step up increases the weighted average farmgate milk price to $8.15 - $8.30 per kgMS for exclusive supply in the Southern milk regions (being Gippsland, south west Victoria and South Australia, Northern region and Tasmania).
This payment will be automatically applied to all qualifying milk supplied under an exclusive SDA milk supply agreement from July 1, 2024.
Payment will be made to suppliers with their December 2024 proceeds during January 2025.
Updated milk supply agreements will be published on SDA’s website at www.saputodairyaustralia.com.au/milk-supply.
The milk prices quoted above are a weighted average across SDA’s supply base.
Milk prices achieved at individual farm level will vary and final milk prices will be influenced by a variety of factors on farm.
